The Durst Organization today announced that the spires of One Bryant Park and Four Times Square will be lit in honor of Super Bowl XLVIII. Beginning Wednesday, January 29, One Bryant Park and Four Times Square will alternately be lit orange, in honor of the AFC Champion Denver Broncos, and green, in honor of the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks.

When the game begins on Super Bowl Sunday, both spires will be lit half-orange and half-green. During the game, the percentage of the spire lit in each team’s color will be determined by who is winning and by what margin. At the conclusion of the game, both spires will be lit in the winning team’s color. The spires will be lit at dusk each evening and remain on until midnight.

“We are proud to help New Yorkers and visitors get into the spirit of Super Bowl XLVIII, and if, by some chance, you can’t watch the game, but want to know who is winning, all you have to do is glance at the skyline,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, President of The Durst Organization.

The Durst Organization, founded in 1915 by Joseph Durst, is the owner, manager and builder of 13 million square feet of premiere Manhattan office towers. The Durst Organization is recognized as a world leader in the development of high-performance and environmentally advanced commercial and residential property.
