Topping Out Party for Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park
NEW YORK CITY- On June 26, Bank of America and The Durst Organization celebrated the new pinnacle of office buildings at the topping out party for Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park. Situated on the west side of Sixth Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Streets – diagonally across from Bryant Park – the spectacular new 2.2 million square-foot, 54-story crystalline skyscraper designed by Cook + Fox Architects and built by Tishman Construction Corporation will be the new crown jewel of the New York City skyline. Upon its completion, it will be the world’s most environmentally responsible commercial tower, achieving LEED Platinum Certification.
In addition to serving as the headquarters for Bank of America’s New York operations, the tower will serve as home for Elie Tahari LTD; Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP; Marathon Asset Management, LLC; and The Durst Organization. It will also feature Charlie Palmer’s world famous restaurant, Aureole, and the reconstruction of the historic Henry Miller Theater, include new subway entrances and a spectacular through block, connecting 42nd and 43rd Streets.
