The Durst Organization launches OneWTC.com, a website to play key role in new international marketing campaign
Multimedia site for real estate brokers to attract tenants to One World Trade Center
New York, NY - Sept. 24, 2012 - The Durst Organization today launched OneWTC.com -- www.onewtc.com -- a new multimedia website that is an integral component of a new international marketing program to engage and attract tenants from around the globe to the iconic One World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. The Durst Organization, which became the Port Authority’s equity partner in One World Trade Center in June 2011, holds primary responsibility for leasing, coordination of tenant fit-out and move-in, and property management. The company also manages the building’s broadcast center and will oversee the third-party developer and manager of its observation deck. OneWTC.com provides commercial real estate brokers and prospective tenants the opportunity to see all that One World Trade Center has to offer by means of a virtual tour featuring floor-to-ceiling views in any direction from any floor, the ability to download stack and floor plans, artist renderings of planned amenities, and other technical information.
OneWTC.com is also home to a construction timeline showing the history of the construction from 2008 through today, including a slideshow of the progress. Additionally, OneWTC.com provides news updates about the latest developments in the resurgent Lower Manhattan community.
For those interested in visiting the World Trade Center campus, OneWTC.com provides an overview of nearby restaurants, shops, businesses and entertainment venues. Because the 16-acre World Trade Center site will be a destination for not only thousands of workers each day but also an attraction for millions of visitors to New York City every year, OneWTC.com provides details on the extensive transportation network that will be housed in the newly built World Trade Center Transportation Hub. The Hub will serve as the Grand Central Terminal for downtown and will provide access to 11 subway lines, PATH trains and ferry terminals, as well as extensive retail amenities being developed by the Port Authority in partnership with Westfield Group.
Visitors to OneWTC.com will be able to keep informed about the latest news related to the building and view archival videos of important events that have taken place there. For example, visitors can view footage of an on-site ceremony that took place on April 30, 2012, the day One World Trade Center became the tallest building along Manhattan’s skyline. A video from March 15, 2012 shows British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha visiting the building and the National September 11 Memorial. One video shows President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, Governors Cuomo and Christie, and Mayor Bloomberg visiting the building on June 14, 2012, and signing one of the final steel beams used to top off One World Trade Center. Another shows construction workers installing the beam on August 2, 2012.
Rising to a height of 1,776 feet to the top of its spire, One World Trade Center will soon be the Western Hemisphere’s tallest building. Already 55-percent leased, the tower will be headquarters for Condé Nast, the world-class publisher, which has leased more than 1.2 million square feet at the building covering 25 floors. It will also house the Vantone China Center and the U.S. General Services Administration.
One World Trade Center aims to be one of the most sustainable office buildings of its size and achieve LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The tower seeks to be 20 percent more energy-efficient than New York State standards, which will result in lower energy expenses, lower operating costs, better access to natural light through floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and highly filtered air.
The Durst Organization and Cushman & Wakefield are conducting the global leasing program for the building. Wordsearch and The Technology Studio produced OneWTC.com.
